Bio:
She's been singing and writing songs for over 20 years.
Folks say that her lyrics move them beyond words. She
says, she only writes what she feels. She's a mother, a
daughter, a sister, and a wife, but most of all she's just
real. Those who hear her will tell you, her music will
touch the depths of your soul.
Before the “Wall” came down DeeDee traveled to the USSR on
a peace ambassadorship. She traveled with a youth led
organization, which has been recognized by the U.N. as
such. The purpose was not to change them, but to develop
friendship and understanding.
While in transit from Kiev to Moscow, a young Ukrainian
boy, and a young American girl in the group became
friends. As they said their goodbyes, tears began to
stream down the girls cheeks. With no spoken words, the
boy wiped the tears from her face, and placed them over
his heart. At that moment, DeeDee knew she could make a
difference. And, so it has become her passion.
Her songs speak of peace, personal responsibility, social
justice, body image, love, and so much more. But,
please.....let her music speak for it's self.
