As children progress around the board they are excited by the adventures they encounter: They master phonic sounds, blends or even words as chosen by the parent/educator. Activities to perform, and informative questions to answer, appear along the way giving the parent/educator a deeper understanding of the child, interaction with one another, and sheer excitement for the little ones.

Achievement is rewarded with the Blue Ring of Knowledge, and eventually the Gold Ring of Knowledge which transforms their game character, and builds their own self-esteem. Certificates are also provided as rewards. When the Child masters their first 8 phonic sounds reinforcement arrives with their first book to read. Several books are provided with each level so that their learning transforms them into successful readers.  We find that some children have trouble blending the sounds even if they know them individually. If this happens simply transform the board into phonic blends, and eventually words. But remember to return to the books. Association is powerful.
