See and hear the phonic
sounds free in the following three videos.
After learning their
phonic sounds, many children have trouble blending them to form words.
This is often because they have learned some of the sounds
incorrectly. The most common letters that this occurs with are:
T, D, B, G, H, C, J, W, K, and P. Dee Dee explains how to
correctly pronounce all of the letters and some of the blends in the
following 3 videos. If they are still having trouble
blending letter sounds, simply use the static cling letters to
transform the board into blends. Once they grasp blends, you can
use the same letters to form words. (example: Sa, Da later
becomes Sam, Dad) With a little persuasion it is then very easy
to wean them from the board and into the books.
